The candidate must have a Ph.D in image processing.
How much ?

The salary is indexed on the INRIA Post-doc salary scale that takes
into account experience.
Technical requirements
-----------------------
* excellent knowledge of image processing, in particular of Bayesian
theory and wavelet transforms,
* development experience in C/C++ on Unix systems. An experience in
web site management would be
appreciated,
* excellent English (both oral and written),
* an experience in the supervision (or at least, active
participation) of a European Union Project would be appreciated.
Description of the position
--------------------------
The successful applicant will be involved in research in image
processing in the framework of a European Union (RTNP) funded project.
He/She will also participate in the submission of new EU funded
projects.
The main task will consist in the supervision of the EU project MOUMIR
(Models for Unified Multimedia Information retrieval).
The successful applicant will be involved in collaborations with the
University of Cambridge (UK), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and Ben
Gurion University (Israel).
For all these collaborations, the successful applicant will have to
manage all the administrative (writing of minutes and reports,
updating of the Web site, participation in the meetings) and
scientific (coordination with other researchers, presentation of the
results, supervision of trainees and Ph.D. students) aspects.
The successful applicant will take an active part in the research
related to the different topics of the collaborations : image
segmentation and indexing, optimal Bayesian decision algorithms, 2D
Wold decomposition, wavelet transforms.

Citizenship
The applicant should be a EU citizen (French citizenship excepted) or
should be from a country which participates to the 5th EU Framework
(Israel, Norway, Switzerland, …) or should have studied in EU since
1995.
