Just who is my bunch and what way I am not forgetting or
learning from the past? I like all snide remarks qualified...
(I don't remember ever having a wish to repeat any part of
past unlike some and the latest racist/chauvinist correspondent.)

I'm Trying to find out about up comin events in Hungary in the month of
July but most of all August.

Can any one tell me of:
outdoor performances
Tanc Haz possibilities
performances in the Vigado
any special events that a 21 year old would enjoy, I love the Hungarian
culture, history and especially the dancing. So if you have any
information could you please pass it on. It's funny I've been going to
hungary since I was little and I haven't yet had the opportunity to see
the Hungarian Folk Dance Ensemble or any other group pperform in Hungary.
So I would very much appreciate it if you could e-mail me back.
Thanxs a Million,
Christina Magyar

Sam, when you wrote this:

>support from Americans if anti-American ultranationalists like you ever
>come to power in Budapest and start trying to reassemble pre-Trianon
>greater Hungary by force.

did you realize what you were talking about? These are very serious charges
and I don't think I gave any reason for them. So I suggest you to cool down
a little bit, think it over again before you continue the debate.

Thank You, Janos!
It is good to see that I am not the only member of this user
group who has been touched on a personal level. Thank you for speaking
up. I think it is vitally important that we recognize not only Soros's
wrongdoings, but his positive work toward the younger generation, at
least. Every year, he sends more than 100 students abroad, who
cewrtainly would not have had the resources nor the opportunity to go
abroad. They are the future of the country, for in that year, they are
able to grow and learn about themselves. it could be that while viewing
another culture and coming to love another way of life, they may decide
that they want to help lead the country in the future,a dn bring it out
of the current situation. If Soros touches one stuydent who changes the
entire country, then the money and effort that went into it all is worth
every penny.
Yours,
Bill

I was only trying to phrase something that you hinted at but had difficulty
saying. Perhaps saying it sounds worse than hinting at it. My point was to
get you to listen to your own words (phrased by me, of course).

I don't believe I've ever attacked you, the person. It's not my style.
However, if you write something that I disagree with, I'll criticize it
mercilessly. I'll try and put those words in your mouth (figuratively
speaking) and see if you like hearing them any more than I do.

I'm your ally in this endeavor.

We, North Americans and Hungarians, have the resources to provide good,
universal healthcare to all citizens. A few controls and regulations are
necessary, of course. Your ideas are not bad but you seem to favour a
democratic exercise more than you want healthcare.

Or maybe it's just me. I just can't find it conscionable that a society can
say 'no' to someone who needs medical care. I was raised to believe that a
persons health and life are more important than anything else in the world.
Maybe my parents were wrong.

+ - Hungarian get-together in San Francisco, CA, Friday, Ma (mind) VÁLASZ  Feladó: (cikkei)

One of these year's I'm going to actually get both notice, and important
details, of an event more than 5 days before--and I'll faint. My apologies
to anyone else for this very late posting, as a result of some details only
becoming known today.

OK, for those who live within the larger northern California metropolitan areas
:

The Hungarian Consul-General, Dr. Imre Helyes, will be giving a "state of
Hungary" speech for members (and friends) of the Hungarian American Chamber
of Commerce, San Francisco area chapter, on Friday evening, March 8. A
dinner is included, for those who can and wish to attend that portion.
Dinner costs $23 for members and $26 for non-members.

The location is the Big Sky Ranch Restaurant (old Paprikas Fonos--and it
still has a Hungarian menu in addition to a "western" menu); Ghirardelli
Square, 900 North Point Blvd. (fifth floor, southwest corner of complex).

Reception is at 6 p.m.; dinner at 7 p.m.; speech at 8 p.m.

RSVP is to the honorary consul and current President of HACC, Eva Voisin, at
tel: 415-595-0444; fax: 415-595-3976. If you are intending to come for
dinner, call or fax ASAP--like before noon California time Friday March 8.

EXTRA HIGHLIGHT--IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: we have a very strong possibility of
the major Republican candidate running for the 14th Congressional seat being
in attendance at this event. His name is Benjamin Macalester Brink, and he
already has prior interests in Hungary. Besides being a CEO of a small
high-tech start-up company, and having previous high-tech and venture
capital experience; he has also been an officer in the U.S. Navy and
Reserve. He currently still holds the rank of "commander" in the USNR and
has members of his unit currently serving in both Hungary and Bosnia--and he
just trained them for this special assignment. He is also personally a
friend of both William Perry--yes, _that_ William Perry and George
Schultz--yes _that_ George Schultz.

Upon his election in November, Ben could be a powerful voice on behalf of
Hungarian concerns in the U.S. Congress--and have even greater additional
influence through his Naval connections in the Administration... Ben's
campaign office has said they believe he and his wife will be coming to this
event. Thus this will be an excellent opportunity for Hungarian Americans,
particularly from the Southwest SF Bay area to become acquainted with this
candidate, in a smaller group setting, where you might get to enjoy
lengthier conversations than elections usually permit.

Sincerely,

That is what I wanted to prove.

It is true. But after this story no one can regard Soros as a hero.
Here is a small little spot which will increase its size soon.

I think, J. Zsargo's contribution was very valuable. Thanks for that!
