You didn't mention what you tried to decode those files.
In a Unix environment all it took for me to issue the command:
uudecode file-name.
The file-name was the one I gave to the encoded mail piece when I saved it.
The uudecode then created a .bmp or .gif file from the encoded files.
I have a sneeky feeling that you may have edited your encoded file,
like deleting the "begin" line before the encoded text and that's why
the uuencode program complained.

P.S.: By the way, where is everybody? This list has been very quiet
lately. Or are we still lickin' our wounds over the election results? ;-)
